Brief Personality Description: Nathaniel seems to be two sides of one coin. On stage, he exudes confidence, strength, and a large amount of comfortableness with his sexuality. He attracts and keeps all eyes on him and knows exactly how to use that attention. Behind closed doors, however, Nathaniel is anyone’s meat. Not only is he a natural submissive, but somewhere along the way he has lost the ability to say no to things that would not only hurt him, but have the potential to kill him. Once an empathetic young boy with a strong older brother to protect him, the years and the death of his brother has warped him into a victim. A victim who just wants someone to protect him so he can stop feeling scared all the time.

Slowly, through Anita's efforts, he is becoming more comfortable being who he is. He is still the victim, but he believes that he has found his place. He believes that he is meant to stay with Anita. She's the one who keeps him safe. Who pushes him to be more than anyone, including himself, thought he could be. But she frustrates him, too. For every small amount he gives her, for every part of himself that he offers, she refuses to offer herself back in return. She won't offer sex or bondage or even allow him to comfort her.

Brief History: Nathaniel would say there’s not much to know about him. He’s a stripper. That’s about it. There’s a much longer story that he doesn’t tell people. He wasn’t an only child. He had an older brother Nicky. When they were younger, their mother died. After that, nothing was ever the same. Their father beat Nicky. Nicky, who wouldn’t scream so Nathaniel screamed for him. Nicky who made him promise that if anything bad happened to him that Nathaniel would run away. Nathaniel kept that promise. He ran as Nicky took a bat to their father. He ran and he kept running.

He ran straight into prostitution and drugs. Anything to keep the memories of his brother, his father, the bat, and the blood splashed across the television at bay. The blood that wasn’t his father’s. He spent years ignoring his past until he met Gabriel. Gabriel was everything Nathaniel thought he needed. He was someone stronger that could protect him like his brother. He wasn’t only stronger, he was different. He was a wereleopard and he turned Nathaniel into a wereleopard, but that didn’t shake Nathaniel’s faith that everything would somehow be all right now.

The reality was somewhat different than the hope. Instead of keeping him safe, Gabriel kept him safer. He stopped Nathaniel from doing drugs, but Gabriel still pimped him out to people looking for someone who could take the amount of damage that Nathaniel could. Gabriel used him, but didn’t care about him. Didn’t protect him where it really mattered. And then he was dead, just like Nicky.

Nathaniel met Anita for the first time when he was in the hospital after a customer got a little too rough on him. After Gabriel died, his pard had continued to pimp him out, but they couldn't protect him from the worst of it like Gabriel had been able to. Instead, Zane tried to keep control of the pard and was failing miserably. Then Anita came and threatened Zane in order to keep Nathaniel safe. Not only that, she promised him that she'd take care of him. There were only three things that she wouldn't give him. Pain and domination and sex.

Where the rest of the pard, after Gregory's death and with the arrival of Anita who brought stability, began rebuilding their lives, Nathaniel continued being the problem child. If someone was caught by the enemy, it was a good chance that it was Nathaniel. That it was Nathaniel who had been chained and tortured for information or just for the hell of it. But slowly, in the place of hopelessness, there developed a certainty that Anita would rescue him. Anita would come. In the wake of that certainty, he began slow steps toward being, if not independent, at least capable. He got a driver's license. He began making decisions for himself, albeit under Anita's orders that he make his own choices.

Because of a case of mistaken identities, Nathaniel was kidnapped after people assumed that he was the leader of a group of swanmanes. That assumption led Anita into a greater mystery: shapeshifter leaders were being kidnapped. While dealing with the mystery, she had to come to terms with a new ability gained as a part of her triad of power with Richard and Jean-Claude. She had gained Jean-Claude's ardeur, meaning that she had to feed sexually from someone. Nathaniel offered himself, but Anita refused. Later, Anita was on the verge of breaking down and he offered himself to her for comfort, like she always offered herself to him and again, she refused him. During the course of Anita's investigation, Nathaniel found himself in a room with dangerous people and, like Anita had taught him, he picked up one of the guns. He kept a tight grip on it when he ran at Anita's order to get the jeep so they could leave.
